A Video to prepare you for Miss Vera 2.0
This post is for subscribers with a special interest in the fantastic experience that was my 30 year art project, Miss Vera’s Finishing School For Boys Who Want To Be Girls. I still receive inquiries from many of you who would love to visit for in-person classes and your continued interest and need is inspiring. You can be sure if/when some form of classes continues, I will alert you via this subscriber list. I know some talented younger artists who have said they would love to collaborate with me in some way so I am giving serious consideration to Miss Vera 2.0. It’s exciting to think what energy and insight these artists could bring to the dressing table. And what do you bring? The best thing that you as a gender explorer can do to prepare and get the most out of a possible visit is to learn our herstory. In this video I invited some friends and neighbors inside our pink walls and gave them a sort of “museum tour” of Miss Vera’s Academy. They were mainly cis women, fascinated by the stories and then thrilled to be let loose among the wigs and props. I founded my Academy to free you students from the confines of the gender binary and imbue you with self love and self acceptance. I’m proud to say that our efforts have contributed to the understanding of crossdressing and the transgender phenomenon, within our student body and society in general. Learn your lessons, watch the video, consider it your homework. If there is a Miss Vera 2.0 it needs modern, evolved, courageous, students ready to be versions 2.0 for a truly successful collaboration. Does that sound like you? Have you been to my academy?
